Nassau, Bahamas

Hey you! How you doin’ today?! I hope you’re having a fantastic day and I want to say thank you for stopping by my blog and having a bit of a read.

Day 7 of Road Trip:

Avid followers, you know the deal, I’m sharing my what seems to be never ending road trip! That is right, I’m talking about my East Coast Road Trip that started in New Jersey, ended up in Florida and now took a crazy cruise to the crystal blue waters of Bahamas! We woke up near Nassau, had our breakfast and then once we docked, we were ready for our adventure!

There are tons of things to do in Nassau, Bahamas, some that are locally right on the island and others that require a bit more traveling, by boat of course. One of the most famous places you may have heard of when it comes to the Bahamas is Atlantis. Atlantis truly looks magically and has just about everything from the hotel, to dining, water park, dolphins, spa, golf, pools, beaches, casino and much more. Due to time constraints, we didn’t get to go here, although perhaps some day we will visit because it does offer just about everything you can need and want. Luckily for us, we got a glimpse of Atlantis from a far and boy was it stunning!

The inner city of Nassau has plenty to offer in terms of shopping and with the fact it’s all duty free, who can resist?! In case you’re confused as to what I mean by “duty free” I mean there are no taxes on the items, how awesome! My boyfriend and I did a bit of shopping, I purchased a Nassau long sleeve blue and white shirt and got some free collectable charms that several stores were offering for being a part of the cruise ship. My boyfriend purchased a shot glass, his collectable souvenir. We walked around a bit but quickly realized that outside of couple of streets, things began to a look a bit sketchy and without a map or any idea where we were going we opted not to be too adventurous and risk our safety.

There are plenty of things to do outside of the inner city such as:

Our real adventure in the Bahamas begins when leave the main island of Nassau and travel to our excursion at Blue Lagoon Island! Stay tuned and don’t forget to hit that follow button!
