Monday Motivation 068

How was last weeks workouts? Did you try them? Did you enjoy them? Have you been keeping up with your fitness goals and routines? I sure hope you are. Welcome back to another Monday Motivation post where I share some workouts with you. I hope you’re looking forward to what I have planned for us this week.

First things first…grab a deck of cards! That is right, you’ll need a deck of cards for this weeks workouts. Each suit will be dedicated to a specific movement. Complete that movement for 10 reps, 11 if it’s an ace. Complete the workout in 20 minutes or keep going until you’re finished with the whole deck of cards.

Monday

  • Hearts – squats
  • Diamonds – burpees
  • Clubs – pushups
  • Spades – lunges

Looking Ahead:

Tuesday

  • Hearts – step ups (onto a stool, chair or bench)
  • Diamonds – jumping jacks
  • Clubs – crunches
  • Spades – Russian twist

Wednesday

  • Hearts – Flutter kicks
  • Diamonds – sit ups
  • Clubs – high knees
  • Spades – donkey kicks

Thursday

  • Hearts – push ups
  • Diamonds – Skater lunge
  • Clubs – leg raises
  • Spades – knee pull ins

Friday

  • Hearts – wide stance squats
  • Diamonds – feet together squats
  • Clubs – deadlifts
  • Spades – squat jumps

Saturday

  • Hearts – v-ups
  • Diamonds – bicycle crunches
  • Clubs – mountain climbers
  • Spades – high knees

Sunday

  • YOUR REST DAY IS FINALLY HERE

Tips & Tricks:

  • Just a friendly reminder, I am not a professional trainer but I do think working out is a healthy part of life.
  • Drink plenty of water before, during and after a workout.
  • ALWAYS stretch before and after a workout
  • Eat a protein packed snack after a workout.
  • Push yourself but know your limits.
  • Always stop a workout if you feel heavy breathing or light headed.
  • Believe in yourself.
  • Take progress photos.
  • Never skip breakfast
  • Don’t skip meals
  • Have snacks in between meals

  1. I really like this idea of using a pack of playing cards! I think this is something I’m going to take to personal training sessions with me for those less motivated and need a little more fun! Thank you for sharing! xx
