  1. Bea,
I think my favorite thing is to make a pot of stew, or chili, and put some cornbread in the oven for a yummy warm meal and wonderful leftovers for a few days.

For the record, you have to drag me into fall kicking and screaming. Not because I don’t like it, but because that means winter and COLD comes next. I’m definitely a lover of spring and summer. You won’t ever hear me complain about the heat.

But, since we’re here… I LOVE football… specifically Oklahoma football. I love the spicy smells of pumpkin pies and apple cider. I love wearing scarves and hats and boots. I love taking pictures of the changing colors of the landscape, And while I love to look at a corn maze from above, I would much rather go through a haunted house than a maze. The thought of getting lost in there puts my tiny bit of claustrophobia front and center and scares me to death.

Great list lots of fun things to do.

    1. Jan,

Thank you so much for your amazing comment! I’m happy that although you love spring and summer you can still embrace and find the beauty of fall. I agree with you, summer is the best! I too love scarves and boots and the spicy smells of pumpkin pie.

      Have a lovely day gorgeous!

  2. I’m so sad because I can see the whole world just rejoicing in their Fall obsessions, but we don’t have Autumn in India! It goes summer, monsoon, and winter – sometimes here in Pune we skip the winter and go straight to the searing heat of summer! But this list looks soooo good 🙂

  3. I’ve actually really been enjoying the opening of our windows for that crisp Fall air (plus no more expensive A/C!). We just ordered 20lbs of apples from Imperfect Produce, I’m excited to make apple chutney, sauce & tarts!

  4. The sound of these already make me feel all snug though it is warm here again. I need to have a word with the weather gods. I have never gone pumpkin picking and I have been thinking of it though my favourite thing really is to pick leaves. Are you planning to these, exceptions made for pumpkin spice lattes, haunted houses and beers? xx

    1. Haha, I have already gone apple picking and bought 9 pounds of apples….I am a little ashamed to say I ate them all!!! But I also made an apple pie which was delicious. I’m going to an apple cider place today Angry Orchard for a cider tasting so that should be fun and festive. I do plan on going apple picking once more and also pumpkin picking in the near future! Ahhh so much to do, so little time 🙂 x

      1. Bringing out the child in you, my girl…I love the sound of 9 pounds of apples demolished by you in the form of apple pies and goodies. I love cider by the way, its sparkly, tangy notes. You go cider it up and have an extra sip for me? I am inspired to look up apple and pumpkin picking farms. xx

  5. Great fall ideas! So far I went to an apple orchard and bought apples and their apple wine, made applesauce, decorated with corn stalks and pumpkins, savored a Dunkin Donuts pumpkin spice coffee, lit candles and read and stoked up our little wood stove. This truly is my favorite season and month!

  6. These are such wonderful suggestions Bea! I am not a massive fan of Autumn and have always liked the warmer reasons but I still adore things such as crisp air, going for long walks and doing so much baking I don’t want to do it for the rest of the year lol. Thank you for sharing! xox

      1. I enjoy reading your thoughts as I still clearly remember how busy I was during teacher training. I got pneumonia and couldn’t even take time off!!

  7. I love this!! There’s so much to do in the Fall! No right or wrong! My son who is 4 1/2 has no fear. We went to a party store and there were $300 animatronic scary monsters and he kept hitting the button for them to talk and move. I love that he gets so into the holiday/season!
