So, last week I posted a blog post titled My Life Be Like – Work where I talked about what a typical day in the life of working Bea is like. In that post, I mentioned that I am a substitute teacher which can only mean one thing…I have the summer off! Today I want to share the typical day in the life of Bea – summer edition. Yes, I realize that summer is basically over but I still figured I’d share this.
Wakey Wakey
I wake up relatively early even in the summer so that I don’t throw off my body or my sleep schedule for work. I wake up typically around 7 am, sometimes I’m really crazy and wake up at 8am. Hope you all sensed the sarcasm when I said the really crazy thing. After waking up I always check my social media, go put Riley outside, give Riley breakfast and than eat my own breakfast. I ALWAYS make my bed, this is something I didn’t mention in my work post similar to this one, however, I do always make my bed.
The Rest of the Day
Now, it’s summer so the rest of the day can honestly vary depending on my mood, if my boyfriend or best friend are busy and depending on the weather. Typically speaking, if no one is around I go back onto my bed, not in bed just on my bed, and go on WordPress reading other people’s posts and typing up my own! If you know me well enough by now, you know that I like to plan ahead. (It’s July 25th when I am writing this.) While I write blog posts I have either YouTube videos playing or my latest obsession which is Love Island playing in the background. I will typically spend a majority of my morning online or watching shows.
In the afternoon, I eat my lunch and then either go play with Riley, back to YouTube, Love Island or WordPress. Once I have digested my lunch, it’s workout time. I workout in the afternoon and following my workout I will got for a dip in the pool with Riley, yes, Riley loves to swim. After swimming I make dinner or eat dinner if someone else has made it and I’ll probably go back into the pool with my boyfriend this time or I’ll go over to his house. Wow, I feel like I lead a boring life after typing all of that out!
Of course, that is just a typical summer day, there are other days where instead I go to the beach with my best friend or my boyfriend will take the day off work and we go to the beach, spend the whole day in the pool and run errands together. Each day is really different, but I basically gave you the run down of the week I have been having recently.
What do you do on your typical summer day off?
Thanks for giving us an insight on what your typical day looks like…

Thanks for sharing what you do on a summer’s day, I’m so nosy and love to know what other people are getting up to! I wish that I could go swimming everyday, do you have a pool in your garden? xxx

You’re most welcome, thanks for dropping by and reading! I do have a pool in my garden. Sadly this month I haven’t been able to enjoy it as much because it’s been rainy and colder than usual summer weather! x

I’d love to have a pool in my garden because it would be so nice in summer, even though it’s summer here in the UK but at the moment it’s 13 degrees and raining! xx

I love to go swimming at the natural springs on my days off in the summer, or walk around the local tourist areas and pretend I’m on vacation 😀

Dang, July 25th!! Haha, that certainly is ahead of time. 🙂 Sounds like a nice way to spend the summer though. I don’t think it’s boring at all. (But then again, people probably think I’m boring too! Haha, whateve to them, I say!)

Do you have your own pool? Because if that’s what you mean, and I had my own pool I think I would live in it, meals – pool, exercising dog – pool, seeing friends – pool, watching tv – (carefully) in pool, sleeping – lilo in pool 😉 x

Haha, yes I have my own pool and I love it!!! I’m so upset though, this month has been pretty rainy and kind of cold weather to be considered “summer” feels more like fall to me which means my pool is cold and I haven’t gone in much !

I think if I had one it’d have to be indoor, especially in England where there is only around 4 – 6 days where the weather would be nice enough to use an outdoor one 😋😉

Haha, you would definitely need an indoor one for England!

I’m like you, on the weekends and holidays I still get up at 7 or 8 am so I don’t throw off my regular sleep schedule 😀 It’s nice though when you have the rest of the day to yourself and you can do what you want 🙂

I’m a high school teacher… Summer has been over for 5 weeks already!
And I’m impressed that you are planned a month ahead on your posts! I’m lucky to get mine written in time to post on my self-imposed timeline of Tuesdays and Thursdays.
