5,000 Q&A

Hello from the road everyone! I’m saying “from the road” because I am currently in the car, on my way to Nashville, Tennessee as I am typing this, don’t worry, I’m not the one currently driving. I thought to myself what better time to answer your Q&A questions than while I have a 13-hour journey ahead of me. Before starting this trek, I copied and pasted all your questions onto a Word Document and now I’m here to answer them. Now that is what I call time management and smart planning. When I hit 5,000 followers on July 26, 2017 I decided I would do another Q&A post because it was such a hit when I hit 4,000 followers. Before we dive straight into this Q&A I want to mention

Reaching For the Moon Blog

Any advice for bloggers?

I’m not an expert, as I’ve mentioned many times before, however, I do have a series titled Blogging Advice where I like to share some of the advice that I have picked up through my own experience blogging.

Listogcom

Could you give me any tips?

My tips would have to be for you to check out my Blogging Advice series where I have shared tons of information and I have gone into detail about those specific tips however for a brief overview: be patient, be kind, always answer your comments, like and comment on other people’s blogs, don’t worry about the numbers, write the what you love, be yourself, and share what your experiences. You can find my Blogging Advice series under my Thoughts category here

How did you reach on that level? I mean how did you increase your followers?

I can honestly tell you that it just sort of happened…trust me, I’m just as shocked as everyone else around me. I think with time people began finding my blog and were interested in what I had to share. I also realized that once I got nominated for my first award/tag, it drew even more people onto my blog because people would spread my blog name out. In my opinion, I got ridiculously LUCKY and for that, I am extremely grateful.

My Lil Slice Of Life

Do you have a favorite place within where you live that you really love visiting?

Locally I have this coffee shop pretty close to me called Track 5, which is a very modern and rustic spot that has long floor to ceiling windows and the friendliest employees. Just a 45 minutes train ride from me I have New York; which obviously has tons to do! I personally love going to Central Park, Soho, Little Italy and to the Brooklyn Bridge.

Why Not Do Com Com

How did you achieve this feat?

PURE LUCK! I can honestly say that I am no special person, I am completely normal and like everyone else which can only mean that I got insanely lucky.

Southern Lights Atlanta Nights

What is one place you haven’t visited but are dying to go?

Oh my goodness, there are so many places that I am so eager to explore on this earth so I am just going to name a bunch of them: Greece, Italy, England, France, Bora Bora, California, Hawaii, Cancun, Punta Cana, Bahamas…so so so many more places!

What did you want to be when you were growing up and did you end up doing that or changing paths?

Since the second I stepped foot into preschool, I’ve said I was going to be a teacher. In September I start doing my student teaching internship where I will teach everyday for the semester, so no, I have yet to change my mind. I’ve also always had a love for homes and therefore becoming a relator or interior designer seems amazing as well. Of course, becoming a professional blogger is such a dream as well.

What was the first concert you ever went to?

ONE DIRECTION!!!!!! Yes, I’m proud to say that and I will scream that at the top of my lungs!

Mental Catastrophe Blog

What is your favorite book that you also wanted to share with others?

I’ll be honest with you, as much as I love to write on my blog and read other blogs, I’m not a huge book reader… With that being said, I have fallen madly deeply in love with the series Girl Online by Zoe Sugg, I also love a book titled Life At Performance Level, that book was truly life changing and opened my mind to so much.

Halula Malula

I’m new so you might already have answered this, but what made you want to blog?

I’ve always had a blog, since I was about 11 however I’d never fully stick to it for more than a year, I would always give up and then delete everything on it. I did keep a tumblr for ages where I wrote on it at first and then eventually resorted to just reblogging photos. Over a year ago, I decided I needed a hobby so I came back to blogging and this time around I have no intension on stopping because the people I’ve met are incredible and this community makes me insanely happy.

Don’t Give A Jam

What is your weirdest skill?

I’m feeling pretty talentless after reading this question, haha, however, I can open my eyes under water without an issue, I suppose that isn’t totally weird but yet a lot of people can’t without saying their eyes burn too much.

Cracking Adulthood

What animal do you most resemble?

Well I asked my boyfriend and the first thing he said was dolphin. I asked him why and he said he doesn’t know, that was his first thought. I looked up dolphins and they symbolize happiness, playfulness, willpower, virtue, humor, wholeness, teamwork, mental acuity, and courtesy.

How long have you had your blog?

I started this blog on February 5, 2016.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

ALL OF YOU! Seriously, I love that I can share just about anything and there will be at least one person who will comment on what I have written and like my post and simply just be so sweet and interact with me, I love it. I love this community, I feel at home.

What do you do when you lack inspiration/ in a blogging ‘rut’?

Walk away from the computer. There is no need to force yourself to write a post if you feel uninspired or lack the motivation to do so. Go for a walk and perhaps you’ll be inspired by what is outside and then you can come back and write something however never try to force it. Another great thing to do when you’re feeling in a blogging rut is to just check out other blogs and perhaps from there you can build up your own inspiration and ideas for your blog posts.

Seasoned Review

What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?

From this local place near me called Chocolate Bar I love their Brownie ice cream which is chocolate ice cream with brownie bits in it. From the same place I also really love their mi amor flavor which is a mix of vanilla and strawberry with real strawberry jam mixed within it. If I’m purchasing ice cream from a food store I’ve found myself recently reaching for Halo Top ice cream, particularly the S’mores and Oatmeal cookie flavors. At my boyfriends house I’ve been having the Chocolate chip from Breyers, which is ultimately just vanilla ice cream with chunks of chocolate chips. Variety….I’ve got some variety here oh and I’m really bad at picking favorites.

What are you doing to celebrate?

It’s funny you ask that because I actually did celebrate this achievement by getting tiramisu with my boyfriend.

The Weekend Juice

What’s the biggest milestone you’ve overcome so far?

The second I read this question I knew the answer. I was born in America but in a city that was very Portuguese. My parents put me in a private preschool, thinking that staying out of the public schools in this area was the best idea. The students I went to school with were all Portuguese and funny enough so were all of our teachers. A majority of the students only knew how to speak Portuguese since their parents only knew Portuguese. This was meant to be a school that was taught in English however, the teachers would get frustrated teaching us in English that they would just translate everything to Portuguese which wasn’t really helpful when it came to us learning English! At the age of 8, I moved out of this town and school and went to a whole different city 30 minutes away. I was in second grade, I was 8, I barely knew any English and now I was starting off all over again with my life. I struggled really badly through second grade. When third grade came along my third grade teacher had a meeting with my mom to tell her that I had potential, she saw that I was motivated and I was trying really hard but that I was behind 2-3 years school wise because I was improperly taught in my younger years, which are very valuable years. My third grade teacher made it a point to stay with me everyday after school to help me learn the material that I wasn’t taught 2-3 years ago. Throughout the years I pushed myself through school, harder and harder, in 9th grade I was placed in my first honors classes, as a junior and senior I took Advanced Placement classes; which are harder than honors because they are college level course. I graduated high school with a 4.6 GPA (we had a 5 scale) and I was number 10 in my class out of 286 students. I am currently in college with a GPA of 3.7 (out of 4). I suppose you can say that is definitely the biggest milestone I’ve overcome in my life.

What tools do you use to plan and schedule your posts?

A pen and a planner! In my planner where I write all my appointments and goals for the day, I have a calendar section where I write all of the posts I plan to post in that month. Having this calendar section in my agenda makes it so easy for me to visually see what is going up when.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Embarrasingly, I check my phone and go through all the social media apps.

Favorite online shopping site?

I’ll just go with Forever 21 because I go on that site more often than I should.

If you had to rename your blog tomorrow what would it be?

BeaFree (only 2 e’s instead of 3, lol, the 2 e’s was taken, booo)

What inspired you to start blogging?

When I was younger I wanted a way of expressing myself through writing, more so as a way to vent than anything else. I felt like I bottled up all my emotions and writing things out felt like a breath of fresh air. This time around I started blogging because I really needed a hobby and an escape and blogging has turned into just that.

What advice would you give your younger self?

CHILLL AND BREATHE GIRL, CHILL AND BREATHE!

What was your dream job growing up and are you pursing it currently?

Teaching and indeed I am.

365 Days Of New

What is your goal for your August challenge?

My goal for any monthly challenge is to post every single day, some days will get multiple posts. In August I have a lot to share so I will definitely have a lot more days where I have multiple posts.

What’s your favorite activity to keep anxiety at bay?

Exercise!! I like to get up and get moving! Other things that help are also yoga, meditation for the days that are really bad, and being with my best friend or boyfriend because they both seem to calm me without even realizing that they’re doing it.

What’s one thing everyone should do at least once in his or her life?

Take a road trip! Pick a place, pack a car, grab some friends and hit the road!

Thank you so so so so so so much to everyone who took the time out of their day to answer my questions. I greatly appreciate all of your support, all of your love and all of your effort. 5. Fantastic post. I love doing yoga on the weekends, but unfortunately I don’t always get to much lately because we have our 3 year old grandson running around the house and wants to come up into our part of the house more than usual lately. LOL ♥
