You Asked, I Answered

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Let me know in the comment section below. As most of you know, I recently have hit 4,000 followers which is absolutely incredible and crazy and astonishing all at the same time. I never thought I would reach this many, I’m in total disbelief and yet so happy and excited to see what is to come.

When I posted my 4,000 post where I mentioned to you all that I have reached 4,000 followers and thanking all of you of course, I also asked that if you had any questions for me that you’d ask them on that post and that I would later create a Q&A post! Well, here I am ready to answer all of your burning questions.

The Random Blog of Irrelevant Thoughts asks:

How long have you been blogging?

I have basically been blogging since I was 11 however I would always just mess around and eventually give up on the blog itself. I started off with a Tumblr at the age of 11 and then moved onto making a Blogger account about 3-4 years ago however, in 2015 I dropped that entirely because I grew uninterested since no one would actually read my work. On February 5, 2016 I decided to post my very first post on this blog using WordPress and ever since than I’ve been really into it and I’ve been constantly putting out material.

How long did it take to get to 1000?

On January 6, 2017 I hit 1,000 followers, so it took me roughly 11 months to reach 1,000 followers.

Kali Borovic askes:

If you could only have one coffee order for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh this is a tough one, I’m so tempted to say an iced Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks but I would be so incredibly broke if I did that because those can be quite expensive. Ahhh, but I also want to say a vanilla latte from Track 5. Oh my goodness, what a tough decision. I’m going to go with a classic vanilla iced coffee though because I suppose you can’t go wrong with that since it’s super tasty and refreshing.

Absolutely Olivia asks:

What’s your favorite post you have ever written?

Olivia, I hate picking favorites but for you, I will do it, haha! I’m going to go with my Blogging Advice 001 post because I kept getting questions on blogging advice and therefore I decided I would just put together a quick post, not thinking it would do all that great and it currently has 271 likes so therefore I think I must have done something right.

What’s your number one tip for any blogger out there?

My most important and number one tip is to write what you love and do what you love. I want everyone to remember that your blog is your space, your space on this earth to do what you want and share what you love. There is no need to write things you aren’t passionate about because that will show and there is no need to advertise something you don’t love or do because that’s simply being fake. Be you and do what you love. For more blogging advice go here.

Cassixmakeup askes:

What’s your favorite lyric from a song?

I didn’t have to think about this, I literally read the question and knew right away what my answer would be and that is a lyric form Andy Grammer’s Keep Your Head Up. The lyric is “This is just a journey, drop your worries, you are gonna turn out fine.”

Ashley McDermott askes:

What is one place you would love to go to, which you have never visited and why?

BORA BORA!!!!!!! Whenever I see photos of this place I just feel like I belong there, like I have to visit. If I see a photo from Bora Bora I always picture myself there, in the sand with my camera taking photos of the gorgeous things around me.

Starring Pamela askes:

How do you feel about your early blog posts?

Ohhh, good question. I think I’ve always been true to me with my posts and I still to this day like what I’ve posted when I began this blog but I will say, I wish the photo quality was better, I think I’ve greatly improved in that area especially after getting my camera.

What’s your favorite song lyric?

Heyyyy, we just had this question up there from another wonderful blogger. As I said before it’s “This is just a journey, drop your worries, you are gonna turn out fine.” by Andy Grammer.

Did you ever expect you’d be celebrating 4,000 on your blog?

I didn’t expect to be celebrating 1 follower so I definitely wasn’t expecting to be celebrating 4,000 of you gorgeous humans!

Out N’ About asks:

What are your future blogging plans?

I plan on doing what I’ve been doing which is sharing what I love, what I’m passionate about and what I’m interested in. I will say, one change that I am looking forward to is that I want to share more of myself and more of my own personal style.

Little Things asks:

What motivates you to write on your blog?

Myself, truthfully myself. I feel like blogging to me is one of the best hobbies that I have ever decided to do. I love to express myself and share my thoughts and things and where I have been and what I’m interested in and the simple fact that I have the passion to share I keep on sharing and that keeps me motivated.

What’s at the heart of it?

My passion for blogging itself, I’ve been doing it on and off for years now granted I started with just a Tumblr where I use to write on it but then eventually would just reblog photos to it. I’ve always been fascinated with photography so the fact that I now have a camera where I can take my own photos and share my own creations simply keeps me going.

Dreaming of Pink asks:

What are the top tips on how to get as far with a blog as you have, or, in other words, any tips on how to be so freaking successful??

Be yourself, write what you love, follow others, be kind, show your appreciation and the rest will follow. Once again for more detailed advice go here.

Who Needs Salad asks:

How did you go about actively building a following for your blog?

I honestly don’t know if I can have a straight forward answer for this one. Essentially all I have been doing is writing what I love, searching for other bloggers and liking their content and then following them. I think perhaps eventually my name and blog started floating around other blogs and people started wondering who I was and gave me a follow. I truthfully have no idea how this happened but I’m so happy and thankful and definitely lucky that it has.

Cheila asks:

How do you keep up with everyone?

It’s very difficult to keep up with EVERYONE however I do try to keep up with the people that I follow and I do this by checking out my Followed Sites reader everyday. I will admit, I can’t always sit at my computer and read word for word what a posts says however I always do try to give it the quick skim, ALWAYS look through the photos because I am photo obsessed and try my best to like the post and give the person a comment if I have the time.

How do you organize your blogging in general? Lot’s of planning?

PLANNING, PLANNING, PLANNING! It’s currently June 23, 2017 when I am typing this and I already have 12 blog posts written AND scheduled for the month of July. It’s honestly all about planning. Have an idea? Write it down. In fact, if you have many ideas than sit down and write a list of posts you are interested in writing than sit down one day and write 1-2 of them, take photos for them and then schedule them, keep doing this until your list of thoughts are done and then create a new list. I love scheduling in advance because this means I can always work on posts and know that I have something to share with you all.

Simply Blessed Mommy asks:

Do you do this full time? On the side for fun?

I certainly feel like I do this full time with the amount of hours I put into planning a post, typing it and taking photos however this blog is a hobby.

Amelia in Hull asks:

What was the first blog you followed?

Oh wow this is going to be embarrassing….the first blog I followed was my own blog.

Eliza asks:

If you schedule and write posts early, what is your method for that?

I do that so that I can provide a guaranteed post for my readers. Every now and then I do monthly challenges where I challenge myself to post everyday, if I have everything already planned out than I know what days I am missing a post as well as what posts are going up when.

If you ever get in a blog writing slump, how do you cure it?

Get outside and clear your head. If there is ever a day where you can’t come up with a blog post, don’t force it, we all have those days. If you have awards that you’ve been nominated for, perhaps do those. You can also always do an online tag you find and it’s a quick way of putting out content as well as allowing your followers to get to know you a bit better. Write from experiences, write about places you’ve traveled, write about what you want whether that be in life or with your blog, write about what you are passionate about. There will be a slump day here and there but you just have to accept that, go outside, clear your mind and maybe while you’re out there you’ll get some inspiration and if not, that’s always okay too.

How I could make sure my pictures all look like they belonged to a brand?

For this you’ll have to work on your photography skills and trust me, it takes time and practice. You’ll spend a lot of time fixing up whatever it is your taking a photo of and sometimes you’ll still get frustrated with the outcome and that is okay, everything takes time. As for editing, perhaps get an editing software or use one online where you can constantly use the same settings to give it the color and theme of everything looking the same.

Also if your doing a series of blog posts, what kind of featured image do you use?

Since it is your blog, that is totally up to you to do what you wish and what you are happy with. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people use either just a blank color with the words depicting what the series is or they use a marble background or an out of focus photo with the title of the series displayed on it.

Angela asks:

Staying up late or getting up early?

Getting up early for sure!! I’m basically a grandma now that I am 23…I’m not kidding you, it can be 9pm and I’ll be watching a film or a show and I fall asleep so staying up late is definitely a struggle but waking up early I love!

What’s your favourite age group of children to teach?

High school students hand down!

How did you first get into teaching?

I knew I wanted to be a teacher the day I stepped foot into my pre-school. On my first day of school I went home and told my mom right away I was going to be a teacher and I haven’t changed my mind since. Are there other things I am interested in? Yes of course but I will definitely first complete this journey of becoming a teacher.

Can you show us more pictures of your dog?

UHMMMM DUHHHHHHH!!!! This question just made me so excited, yes of course I can! Stay tuned for an all about Riley post!

Tracey asks:

Where is that one place in the world that you absolutely have to go to and what would you eat when you got there?

There are many places I would love to visit, I mentioned above, Bora Bora being one of them however another is England and I would absolutely love to try a restaurant there called Nando’s oh and Jamie Oliver too because I hear great things!

My Lil Slice of Life asks:

Do you have a favorite blog post?

As I mentioned above, I believe my favorite blog post is my Blogging Advice 001.

Crisly Zerrudo asks:

How did you do it?

Simply put, I have no idea!

Cassie Morgan asks:

How long have you been blogging?

I have had THIS blog for nearly a year and 5 months.

Silla Official 101 asks:

What is your ideal destination to holiday?

Somewhere tropical although I also really love being by a lake and in the woods.

Tabi asks:

What time in history (or the future) would you time travel to if you could?

I would want to stay right here where I am. I like to believe that I am placed at this very moment for a specific reason and quite frankly I’m not too interested in history or the future to want to go there. I want to live in the moment. (That’s a new thing I’m trying, living in the moment.)

What three emojis sum up your blog, and your personality?!

Love this question! My blog emojis would be the tree emoji, pink flower and a big smiling face to show all the nature photos I take and to show that this is a happy place. My personality emojis would be the monkey with the hands on his eyes, the emoji with the hands by the face looking all excited and the emoji that sticks his tongue on the side as if he is licking his lips for some tasty dessert.

Would you rather go deep sea diving with sea creatures or climb a mountain?

Honestly, as much as I love water I think I’d be too afraid to go deep sea diving, I feel like I’d be constantly worried that I would run out of oxygen. I’ve never climbed a mountain but I’ve hiked quite a few…ahhh, I’m going to go with deep sea diving though! That was a tough one!

Bia asks:

What did you want to become when you were little?

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher but I’ve also always been into homes and becoming a realtor or an interior decorator.

What are the things that get you excited about life?

Just living in general, exploring, trying new things.

What is your favourite clothing item/accessory that you own?

I really love workout clothes because they are so comfy but other things I’m obsessed with are maxi dresses and rompers/jumpsuits.

And finally, what is your favourite scent?

Coconut Passion by Victoria Secret or Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath &Body Works.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone that has asked me a question and to everyone that has congratulated me on reaching 4,000 followers. Thank you once again and I hope you all have enjoyed my answers.
