Get To Know: Hannah

Hey, hey, hey! I’m back again today with another Get To Know post. As some of you may know, I started this series in hopes of getting to know my fellow readers a bit better. I also really wanted to start this series as a means to spread other bloggers and have other people find new blogs.
Today our guest is a student named Hannah. Hannah runs a blog where she shares recipes, travel experiences, and her love for books! Before we all go give Hannah a follow, let’s first look at her interview!

The Basics:

Name: Hannah
Occupation: Student

Let’s Get A Little Personal:

Favorites:

Favorite quote?
“She believed she could so she did”
Favorite time of day?
Morning. I’m definitely a morning person. There’s something special about opening the curtains to a new day.
Favorite season?
Autumn, when it’s starting to get cold, but not too cold. When you can see all the lovely colours as the leaves start to turn, and of course my birthday 😉
Favorite blog post you’ve written?
A Day in My Life.
Favorite blog posts to read?
I read a bit of everything 😀 But I love seeing new baking ideas.

This or That:

Cooking or baking?
Baking 😀 The goods last longer and they’re so yummy! 😀 I mean cooking is good, but the food gets eaten in one go, but with baking you can eat it for a while!
Books or films?
Books. I love a good film but I’m not very good at sitting around watching things for a long time!
Films or TV shows?
TV shows, but I love films too. I just struggle to sit still and concentrate long enough in films.
Makeup or no makeup?
No make up. I very rarely wear it. I tend to save it for special occasions, plus I don’t feel like I should be hiding away my face, there’s nothing wrong with what I look like 😀
Casual or formal?
Casual! I was so glad my job was smart casual last year, I don’t like being formal too much!
Beach or woods?
Beach
Big city or small city?
Erm… big city for the shopping and activities. I mean I live in a smallish city at the moment and the shopping is rubbish!

Simple Questions:

When did you start blogging?
June 2015, so around 2 years ago. But only more regularly in the last 6 months.
Why did you start blogging?
I originally just blogged about books, to share my thoughts and feelings about books and to recommend them to others. But then I decided that actually I could do a lot more than just books.
In your opinion, what is the best thing about blogging?
Meeting new people, sharing thoughts/opinions and seeing what other people have to say about things and also knowing that people are enjoying what you’re writing.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, playing the flute, photography, cooking and baking.
What is the best place you’ve traveled to?
Bermuda! It was lovely there. I loved snorkeling on the coral reefs and exploring the island.
What are you looking forward to?
Finishing my exams and never having to do exams again! And then starting my research project.
I know you’re at Uni, what are you studying?
I’m studying a masters in Environmental Biology, conservation and resource management (my undergrad was in Marine Zoology).
What study tips or advice do you have to give to others?
Don’t procrastinate! It’s best to get on with work and assignments as soon as you get them, that way if there are any problems or you don’t understand something there is plenty of time to get things sorted.

Let’s Get a Deeper Connection:

What advice would you give your younger self?
Nothing is the end of the world. It may seem it at the time but it really isn’t. It is just a bump in the road and you’ll be stronger for it.
What advice would you give the younger generation in general?
Don’t be so worried about what you look like or what others think of you. The most important thing is that you’re happy.
What lovely answers! Now that we have all gotten to know Hannah a bit better, I think we should all go on over to her blog and give her a massive follow! While you’re on Hannah’s blog make sure to give her many comments and likes too!
