Get To Know: Pink For Days

Hello everyone! I’m back again today with another Get To Know post. If you have no idea what this whole “Get To Know” thing is than you’re seriously missing out. Recently I’ve decided to casually interview other bloggers so that I can personally get to know them a bit better and also so that I can spread their blogs. I hope you all decide to check out the other posts I’ve done in this series and I also hope you check out today’s special guest.

Today’s guest is Cheila from Pink For Days. Cheila has actually only been on WordPress for a few months but her blog is already flourishing with followers, posts, comments and likes. Cheila is a very a dedicated blogger, posting everyday, multiple times a day. Cheila is also very creative and has actually taken it upon herself to start up a new and fun tag titled Friends For Days tag. As part of her new tag, Cheila actually nominated me, which I was so delighted about, you can check it out here. I’m so amazed by Cheila because she is so hardworking and so passionate about what she writes about. Now, let’s get to know Cheila a little bit better.

The Basics:

Name: Cheila
Nickname: I had one when I was young. It was “Kikas” or “kikinha”
Age: 25
Occupation: English private teacher and tutor
Nationality: Portuguese

Let’s Get A Little Personal:

Favorites:

Favorite scent?
My boyfriend’s perfume when I hug him! Now seriously, I think Jasmine.
Favorite time of day?
Afternoon. I accomplish more during my afternoons.
Favorite breakfast meal?
Oatmeal with banana, honey and cinnamon.
Favorite snack?
Now, I go for fruit. But I like to snack on some of those mini pretzels and pretzel sticks with salt.
Favorite TV show?
House, Dexter, Sex and the City, Outlander, Call the Midwife. I’m sorry, I have watched too many to pick just one!

This or That:

Tea or coffee?
Both. Coffee always with milk. Tea with a spoon of stevia. They have to be extremely hot!

Early riser or sleeping in?
Now I sleep in, because I am at home trying to rest as much as I can, to heal from my depression. But I always wake up early for work.
Cooking or baking?
Love both. But I cook more than I bake. I cook dinner every day.
Books or films?
Once again, both. I’m sorry, I have so many interests. It’s hard to choose one.
Studying in advance or the night before a test?
Always in advance.

Would You Rather:

Would you rather have to clean a little bit everyday or only be able to clean once a year? (I ask this because I see you clean a lot.)
I can’t live with a mess, if I’m home, I’m always doing something around the house. I’m super picky with my cleaning. I have been known to clean my shower tiles with a toothbrush hahaha.
Would you rather go out and party or have a night in?
I don’t party. I haven’t since I was about 18/19. Only go in special occasions. I love being at home!
Would you rather be in the wilderness or be in the city?
Wilderness. I lived in the city and moved to the countryside a year ago.
Would you rather never be able to use social media or never be able to read a book?
I don’t like social media. I use it but it’s not something I enjoy. Maybe Instagram. I could not live without books.
Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day? Invisible! I would love to know what people say behind my back hahaha. I worry about criticism so much!

Simple Questions:

When did you start blogging?
January 24, 2017
What made you start blogging?
I have always wanted to be a blogger. One morning I felt like it was the right time! Have been writing every day ever since.
Which blog posts do you enjoy most writing?
I love my to-do lists. I love lists and getting organized.
Where do you want to travel to?
United States. It has always been my dream.
What places have you visited?
Sadly none. I have never traveled outside of Portugal.
What language do you speak?
Portuguese and English. I can speak a little German, just enough to ask for food and water hahaha

Let’s Get A Deeper Connection:

What piece of advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t even think about falling for that guy; he will break your heart and make you suffer in ways you can’t even imagine and change you forever.

If you could share any advice with the youth what would it be?
I feel like an old lady saying this but I would tell them to really make an effort in school, to read, to learn as much as they can and not to waste so much time with social media. Live, go outside more, play. There’s more to life than partying.
What did you find most difficult about school?
Math and choosing a field to study. In Portugal you must choose either science or Humanities (among a few other options) before grade 10. I really wanted to chose science but I knew I would have problems with math, physics and chemistry and I knew I could not afford tutors, so I chose the easier path. But my dream has always been to be a doctor.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Teaching. Motivating people. Helping people learn how to study.
What is the hardest thing about your job?
The responsibility. Having a business by myself is hard and stressful.
How would you describe the perfect world?
Peaceful, with people working together so everyone can follow their dreams and have their needs met.
Thank you so much for asking, Bea. I feel honored!
