Get To Know: Abigail

Hello everyone! As I mentioned in my previous “Get To Know” post, I will be working on a new blog series where I do casual interviews with bloggers. This series will consist of me coming up with interview questions for specific bloggers and will serve as a way of getting to know more bloggers and spreading blogger’s blogs.

Today’s interview is with a young and amazing girl named Abigail. Abigail has a blog titled The Freckled Fashionista. Abigail blogs about all things hair, beauty and life. Abigail is a great photographer and an amazing writer too. If you haven’t gone over yet to Abigail’s blog I would most definitely recommend that you do that right away. Now, let’s get to know a bit more about Abigail.

The Basics:

Name: Hi, I’m Abigail!
Nickname: Most people call me Abi, but some family members call me Abs. Probably because of my rock hard abs, right?
Age: 13
Nationality: I’m American!
Country Currently Living In: The amazing United States of America.

Let’s Get a Little Personal:

Favorites:

Favorite hairstyle?
I love throwing my hair in a classic ponytail, but my go-to is a french braid.

Favorite hair product?
The OGX coconut oil serum! It works wonders on my hair.

Favorite shampoo & conditioner?
I love the Calia Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner.

Favorite hair mask?
Just coconut oil! I just take a tablespoon or so of coconut oil, and massage it into my scalp and ends, and then wash my hair after an hour or a few hours. I always have a good hair day after using the mask.

This or That:

Hair up or hair down?
Up! I have longish hair, and it constantly gets in my face, so it’s easier to wear it up.

Intense workout or yoga?
Yoga, but I do love intense workouts!

Facial scrub or facial mask?
A facial mask!

Big city or out in the wilderness?
100% wilderness. I love nature and the country so much, and I currently live in the country. I’m just not a city girl.

Would You Rather:

Would you rather never be able to blog again or never be able to style your hair? (I know you love hair, that’s why there are so many hair questions.)
Never be able to style my hair. Blogging is so important to me, it would be hard to give it up.

Would you rather travel the world and never be able to blog about it or travel only to a few countries and be able to blog about your experiences?
I would rather travel the world and never be able to blog about it. (Apologies to my readers). I’ve traveled to different places in the past, but it’s hard for me to blog about it and put it into words. Sometimes you just need to go there to experience it.

Would you rather have chocolate or sour candy?
I have a passion for chocolate and sour candy, so this is close to impossible. In the end, I have to go with chocolate, because too much sour candy makes me really hyper.

Simple Questions:

When did you become interested in hair styling?
I’ve always loved fiddling with my hair, but in the past two years, I’ve started to work on growing out my hair and learning how to style it, so I’ve become more interested in it! I used to just throw it into a ponytail or braid, but when you know a lot of different styles, having long hair becomes more fun.

Do you like to style only your hair or other people’s hair too?
I honestly prefer styling other people’s hair more!

What is the best place you’ve ever gone to visit?
Okay, don’t roll your eyes, but I would have to say Disneyworld. Disneyworld is just a place filled with happiness, where you can just imagine and be a kid, and all your worries slip away.

How/where do you get your blog inspiration?
Other blogs, Pinterest, and my life!

Do you have a set schedule for your blog or do you blog whenever you feel the urge?
I blog four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Sometimes I miss a day, but I try to stick to the schedule consistently.

Let’s Get a Deeper Connection:

Although I know you’re young, what advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t worry so much. Everything will figure itself out. Just relax and stop focusing on the little things.

In what ways do you think you’re different from your peers?
I’m very driven. I’m hard working and can get things done quickly, because I’m focused and planned out for things. I’m a very deep person and tend to look at life in the big picture.

How would you describe the perfect world?
I believe the perfect world would be an intelligent world. If everyone had access to education, and was driven, and truly wanted to have a good future and be smart, a lot of problems would be solved. A perfect world would be a world where everybody feels that they belong and contribute to society. A world where your skin color, your gender, your religion, and your personal beliefs don’t change the way that people think of you. A world where everyone is working hard to make Earth a better place, a world where everyone contributes–that, in my opinion, is as good as it gets.

Are there any books or quotes that have change your life? If so, in what ways?
There’s a book called “A Short Guide to a Happy Life” by Anna Quindlen that has honestly changed the way I look at life. I read it every other month or so, since it’s pretty short, and every time that I read it, I step away with something different. The book was shown me to appreciate the little things in life and love the small moments!

Did you just read those answers; especially the one about a perfect world?! How amazing is Abigail? How grown and mature is she for her age? I’m telling you, I am constantly blown away by her posts, her attitude and her mindset. I hope you all go on over to Abigail’s blog, give her a nice follow, comment on her work and like her work too.

Thank you so much Abigail for agreeing to do this interview with me.
