One Year Celebration

My boyfriend and I have hit the one year mark! Yes, that’s right, we’ve been dating for a year now. We decided to go back to where it all started which was in NYC right in front of the large, no, enormous christmas tree that New York has every year.

This trip to the city was a bit different because I recently purchased a new camera! I’m sooooo very excited about it because I’ve wanted a good camera for YEARS now and I’ve finally made the move to get one. I got the Canon EOS Rebel T6. I was so excited to bring it into the city to capture all of the christmas magic however, once I got there, I realized how busy it was and I was a bit nervous to have it out as much as I wanted to. I did manage to snap a few photos though while I was there though.

Andrzej, my boyfriend, decided to have a go with my camera and this was his shot.
Once we got to the city we began our walk towards the restaurant we were going to eat at which was called Limani. We both did the pre/post theatre dinner menu; both of us ordered fried calamari for our starter, then both got the salmon for our main course and finished off our dinner with karidopita which is a spongecake served with ice cream! The meal, atmosphere and service were absolutely incredible!! The waiters and waitress’ were always on top of you, filling up your glass once your water was getting low and folding your napkin if you got up to go to the restroom. Overall, the place was amazing and I definitely want to go back someday.

After we ate our lovely meal we decided to go and look at the beautiful lit up christmas tree. We also walked around to see other christmas decorations like lit up angels, giant ornaments and trees with bright christmas lights wrapped around them. Of course, as always we watched the light show that is displayed on the Saks building. The show was incredible, but when isn’t it? After looking at all the christmas lights and the tree my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to the top of the rock. For those of you who may not be familiar, the top of the rock is known as the observation deck on the Rockefeller Center, also known as one of my favorite spots in New York! We went up many many floors (68-69, I believe) and got a beautiful view of New York at night! Although very wonderful up there, we weren’t there long because it was absolutely FREEZING and windy! We came down, got ourselves a hot chocolate and headed home!

All in all, it was a wonderful and magical way to spend our one year together.

I’ve been wanting a new canon for a lonnng time now, I think I need to upgrade soon as mine is crazy old and starting to have issues. Looking forward to seeing more pics from the camera!

    1. Greetings from Jersey! To create the montage of photos simply select all the photos you want to post at once and then WordPress will automatically put them into some sort of order. From there you can edit which photos you want where as well as create slideshows and many other things! Thanks for stopping by, hope this was helpful!
