September Motivation

Hello everyone! So I have something to admit, in the month of August I didn’t workout much at all. Basically what happened was I began to redo my basement and that took about 1-2 weeks and well, once you break out of a workout habit you’re basically out of it for good until you get the motivation to start up again. With that being said, I definitely, 100%, am planning to get back on track.

An important thing to keep in mind when you haven’t worked out for awhile is to take it slow, don’t go back and jump into the tough workouts you were doing before because you will become very discouraged. This month I not only plan to slowly work up to my old exercises but I also plan on doing a 30 day ab challenge. I’ve never done an ab challenge before so I’m interested to see if there will be actual results.

If you are like me and have been slacking on the workouts I challenge YOU to stay motivated and stay active through the month of September. Let’s do this together and share our workouts, progress and journey. I look forward to hearing from you!

September 1st Workout: (15 minutes) – Remember starting off slow

  • Warm up/walk in place
  • 9 Minute Butt Toning <- click me for a video workout
  • 15 crunches
  • 6 leg raises
  • 10 second plank

Looking ahead:

September 2nd Workout:

  • Warm up/walk in place
  • 5 Minute Lower Body Workout <- click me for a video workout
  • 20 crunches
  • 8 leg raises
  • 15 second plank
  • Walk for 20 minutes to an hour

September 3rd Workout:

  • Walk 30 minutes to an hour
  • 25 crunches
  • 10 leg raises
  • 20 second plank

September 4th Workout: “Rest Day”

  • 30 crunches
  • 12 leg raises
  • 25 second plank
  • Optional 20 minute walk

If you’re wondering, the reason I’ve added walking around for September 2 & 3 is because I’m going to be in New York, surely I’ll be walking much more than an hour but I figured I would add it in there. If you aren’t planning on being in a large city, that is no problem because you can still take that walk in a park or in your neighborhood.

Workout Tips:

– Take it slow if you haven’t done a workout in awhile

– Stay hydrated
