This month’s Birchbox had a variety of items from perfume to lip balm. The following is personal opinion of the items I received and tried on. Above is a list of the items and their full retail cost.

Briogeo: Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
When I received this I was very excited to try it because I absolutely love hair masks and having smooth and soft hair. Before trying this product, I read the directions and found it a bit odd that I was suppose to put it in my hair after shampooing for 5-10 minutes. I followed the directions on the bottle and was completely amazed! The reason I was amazed was because I didn’t have to use any conditioner at all, this product left my hair feeling smooth and tangle free. Overall, I was very impressed.

Burt’s Bees: Tinted Lip Balm- Red Dahlia
Believe it or not, I have never tried a Burt’s Bees prior to this one. I was very pleased with the formula because it was very creamy and easy to spread, even on the first try which is rare for some lip balms. I also quite enjoyed the fact that the lip-balm was tinted because it added the slightest of color that made everything look more elegant. I can definitely see myself purchasing this item in the future because it’s not only affordable but also does an amazing job at keeping my lips nice and smooth.

Coastal Scents: styleEYES Eyeshadow Palette – socialEyes
Upon receiving this, I was excited because trying out new eyeshadows always seems like a fun thing to do, however after opening my palette and seeing how dark the colors were, I was a bit turned off because it’s not my style. The two colors I had were a a shimmer gray and black. I tried out the gray shadow first and realized I needed to build it up a lot to even be noticeable which was very odd I felt like, the color was not very pigmented at all. However, the black was completely different, in fact I tried it on and it got all over the place and didn’t go on smoothly. Overall, I was disappointed with this brand. Note: I did not have the same exact palette displayed below.

Naobay: Mattifying Cream
If you’ve read my March favorites you know that the lotion I use on a day to day basis is simply Baby Johnson’s, I don’t normally stray from that. I tried on this cream and was not pleased at all. The scent was a bit odd for me, not my liking and I did not like the way my skin felt afterward. The cream did however leave my face matte, which is what it was suppose to do however it felt rubbery at the same time and not very smooth.

Tocca: Florence Eau da Parfum
I’m going to keep this one short and simple, I didn’t like this. I’m not a fan of floral scents so I was completely put off by this.
