For lunch or dinner, spaghetti and meatballs is definitely a great go to. The following is an easy spaghetti and meatballs recipe.
You will need:
- 1 onion
- Couple of garlic cloves
- Ground beef
- 1 egg
- Two or three handfuls of spinach
- Ronzoni Garden Delight spaghetti
- Olive oil
- Bread crumbs
- Italian seasoning
- Canned tomato sauce
For the meatballs:
Grab a bowl and add the ground beef in along with half of an onion chopped off, two garlic gloves minced, an egg, a sprinkle of italian seasoning and a spring of Goya or salt to taste. Once that mixture is in the bowl begin to make round your meatballs then place the meatballs in a pan with the canned tomato sauce and cook on medium until they are finished.
*TIP * In order to have meatballs that cook evenly, make sure they are the same size, to do this you may want to measure out the meat by placing it in an ice cream scoop.
*TIP* To reduce the look and texture of a greasy meatball sauce, add about a tablespoon (or more if needed) of bread crumbs, this will thicken the sauce.
In a pot, add about a table spoon of olive oil and the other half of the onion chopped up. Allow the this onions to brown a bit and then add water, salt, oregano and italian seasoning to taste. Once the water comes to a slight boil, add the spinach and box of pasta. Follow the rest of the directions on the box to cook the pasta.
*TIP* Using spaghetti that is either whole grain or made of vegetables (like this one) is a lot more healthy than using regular spaghetti.
